Explosives Shipped to Iraq From Iran

Explosives, including “shape charges”, for use in roadside bombs are being shipped into Iraq from Iran.

According to MSNBC: "U.S. military and intelligence officials tell NBC News that American soldiers intercepted a large shipment of high explosives, smuggled into northeastern Iraq from Iran only last week. The officials say the shipment contained dozens of "shaped charges" manufactured recently."

Iraq Weekly Status Report of July 27 differs somewhat: Iraqi Border Police intercepted approximately 20 insurgents attempting to enter the country from Iran on July 20. The police also recovered improvised explosive device-making materials, including detonators, shape charges, 228 pounds of TNT, and 240 pounds of C4 explosive.
