The Crowd Mentality
Obama does draw crowds.
In in the US, political crowds are evocative of Third World countries or the Arab street.
"In these kinds of societies, the crowd comes forth to affirm its faith in a redeemer: a man who would set the world right."
At a time of American distress, Obama's crowds equalize everyone.
"The political genius of the man is that he is a blank slate. The devotees can project onto him what they wish. The coalition that has propelled his quest -- African-Americans and affluent white liberals -- has no economic coherence. But for the moment, there is the illusion of a common undertaking...equality within the crowd. The day after, the crowd will of course discover its own fissures."
"The affluent will have to pay for the programs promised the poor. The redistribution agenda that runs through Mr. Obama's vision is anathema to the Silicon Valley entrepreneurs and the hedge-fund managers now smitten with him. Their ethos is one of competition and the justice of the rewards that come with risk and effort."
"All this is shelved, as the devotees sustain the candidacy of a man whose public career has been a steady advocacy of reining in the market and organizing those who believe in entitlement and redistribution."
"There was grudge and a desire for retribution in the crowd to begin with...this election has at its core a desire to settle the unfinished account of the presidential election eight years ago. George W. Bush's presidency remained, for his countless critics and detractors, a tale of usurpation. He had gotten what was not his due..."
"...those vast Obama crowds, though, have recalled for me the politics of charisma that wrecked Arab and Muslim societies. A leader does not have to say much, or be much. The crowd is left to its most powerful possession -- its imagination."
The New Tax Welfare
If elected, Obama will raise rates on just about every tax, along with enacting a slew of so-called "tax credits".
"Such credits are not tax cuts. Indeed, they should be called The New Tax Welfare."
"His trick is to make the tax credits "refundable"."
These refunds would go to those who already don't pay any income tax.
"Mr. Obama is proposing to create or expand a slew of government spending programs that are disguised as tax credits."
"The spending on these programs is then subtracted from the total tax burden, in order to make the claim that his tax plan is a net tax cut overall." This is the source of his mumbo-jumbo about a tax cut for 95% of families making less than $200,000.
Obama will tax, tax, tax and spend, spend, spend.
"Overall, the bottom 60% of income earners pay less than 1% of federal income taxes on net."
"When "tax credits" primarily go to this group in the form of checks from the government (rather than a reduction in their tax burden) it is simply an abuse of the language to call the spending a tax cut."
"The Obama tax plan would sharply increase real taxes. It also would come nowhere near to paying for the massive increases in federal spending he has proposed, including the spending that is disguised in the form of refundable tax credits."
This is Obama's plan to correct the "tragedy" of the Civil Rights Movement: The Supreme Court's failure to enact "wealth redistribution".

Obama's elitism: Let the government decide who deserves the money.
Socialists eat it up.

McCain Slams LA Times
Re: Tape of Obama praising Rashid Khalidi at a dinner party.
"Apparently this is a tape with a dinner that Mr. Ayers ... was at, and also ... one of the leading spokespersons for the PLO. Now, why that should not be made public is beyond me," McCain told La Kalle radio.
"I guarantee you, if there was a tape with me and Sarah Palin and some neo-Nazi or one of those, you think that that tape wouldn't be made public? Of course, Americans need to know, particularly about Ayers, and also about the PLO. So hopefully there will be enough pressure on the L.A. Times that it'll come out, but its really unfortunate that we have to go through this," McCain continued.
According to the LA Times print story, some Palestinian American leaders believe "Obama is more receptive to their viewpoint than he is willing to say".
Khalidi has said before that Obama's coming out in support of Israel is "a requirement to win a national election in the U.S".
So, Khalidi thinks candidate Obama's public support of Israel is a pretense.
Polls, Polls, Polls
The polls are all over the place, much like quantum mechanics.
"One reason is the wide variation in Obama leads: Just yesterday, an array of polls showed the Democrat leading by as little as two points and as much as 15 points."
Today, Rasmussen has Obama up by only 3%. That's within margin of error.
"Clearly, in recent weeks, McCain has been able to cast Obama as a leftist. He has made the issue of income redistribution central to the campaign. With the aid of Joe the Plumber and the discovery of Obama's Chicago PBS interview, in which he lamented the absence of redistribution of wealth, McCain has made the proposition seem central to Obama's ideology."
It all depends on who turns out to vote. "...it's possible the Obama campaign faces a challenge turning out the untested voters it's relying on to win."
Obama Accepts Fraudulent Campaign Donations
The Obama website has "intentionally disabled all the basic credit-card-processing security checks and thereby enabled multiple contributions from donors with fake names".
Obama accepted donations from "Fake Donor" "John Galt", "Saddam Hussein", "Osama bin Laden", and "William Ayers". The credit card used paid the charges.
These same donations were rejected at the McCain site.
Now Obama is accepting untraceable pre-paid credit cards. These cards "make it impossible to tell whether foreign nationals, donors who have exceeded the limits, government contractors or others who are barred from giving to a federal campaign are making contributions".
One lady showed up on Obama's FEC donation report as having donated $174,800. She never made the donation and her credit card was never charged "meaning someone appropriated her name and made the contributions with another card".
The Obama camp says they screen donations "on the back end of the transaction to determine whether a contribution is legitimate".
Why go to all the trouble to disable security measures and create more unnecessary work by issuing refunds on the back end when the transactions could be prevented upfront like retailers do?
There's only one logical reason. They don't want to. It appears they want to enable the fraud.
So, Obama collects money fraudulently, then promotes "wealth redistribution". Oh yeah, I forgot, that's his tax plan.
"One year ago, he made a promise. He pledged to accept public financing and to work with the Republican nominee to ensure that they both operated within those limits."
Obama's pledges aren't worth much -- not nearly as much as fraudulent donations.

Friends In Low Places
How's this for a dinner party guest list?
Barack Obama -- candidate for "Redistributor-in-Chief".
Bill Ayers and wife, Bernadine Dohrn -- former Weather Underground terrorists who bombed the Pentagon and Capitol.
Rashid Khalidi -- classic anti-Israel, Jew hater and former mouthpiece for the terrorist organization PLO; good friend and frequent dinner companion of Barack Obama. One can only imagine the content of the conversations between Khalidi and Obama.
"The Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a videotape that it says shows Barack Obama praising" Khalidi at a farewell dinner party.
Why not? Khalidi is just another political, financial, and radical associate of Obama's.
Today, the McCain camp demanded release of the video.
"A major news organization is intentionally suppressing information that could provide a clearer link between Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi," said McCain spokesman Michael Goldfarb, citing Obama's friendship with Khalidi, who is now a professor at Columbia University."
(Do all the terrorists of old become college professors?)
"He said the video could, among other things, show how Obama responded to a poem recited at the party accusing Israel of "terrorism" and warning of consequences for U.S. support for Israel, which Goldfarb described as "hate speech."
"The election is one week away, and it's unfortunate that the press so obviously favors Barack Obama that this campaign must publicly request that the Los Angeles Times do its job — make information public," he said."
Is the tape unfavorable to Obama? Is that really why the LATimes won't release it?
More on Obama's "friends".
Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6.
Wealth Tax
"A number of European countries have a "wealth tax" in which people are required to annually pay a percentage of their net worth--on accumulated wealth that was of course already taxed at the time it was earned."
I can't help but think that the idea of a "wealth tax" would fit right in with Obama's "redistribution of wealth" policy. The liberals do look to Europe for inspiration.
The Truth About Barack Obama
"After months of "hope," "change" and "I'm not George Bush," the truth has finally tumbled out: Barack Obama wants to redistribute America's wealth, raise taxes on those who create jobs, create vast new handout programs styled as "tax relief," and appoint judges who will radically redefine the relationship between American citizens and their government."
John McCain hits back:
We've learned more about Senator Obama's real goals for our country over
the last two weeks than we learned over the past two years, and that only
because Joe the plumber asked him a question in Ohio. That's when Senator Obama revealed he wants to quote "spread the wealth
around."
Now, Joe didn't ask for Senator Obama to come to his house, and he
didn't ask to be famous. He certainly didn't ask for the political attacks on
him from the Obama campaign. Joe's dream is to own a small business that will
create jobs, and the attacks on him are an attack on small businesses all over
the country. Small businesses employ 84 percent of Americans, and we need to
support small businesses, not tax them.
After months of campaign trail eloquence, we've
finally learned what Senator Obama's economic goal is: to spread the
wealth. In a radio interview revealed this week, he said the same thing
-- that one of the quote, "tragedies" of the civil rights
movement is that it didn't bring about "redistributive change."
You see, Senator Obama believes in redistributing
wealth, not in policies that grow our economy and create jobs. He said
that even though lower taxes on investment help our economy, he favors higher taxes on investment for quote
"fairness." There's nothing "fair" about driving our
economy into the ground. We all suffer when that happens, and that is the
problem with Senator Obama's approach to our economy. He is
more interested in controlling wealth than in creating it ... in
redistributing money instead of spreading opportunity. I am going to create
wealth for all Americans, by creating opportunity for all Americans.
Senator Obama is running to be Redistributionist in Chief. I'm running to be
Commander in Chief. Senator Obama is running to spread the wealth. I'm running
to create more wealth. Senator Obama is running to punish the successful. I'm
running to make everyone successful.
Senator Obama has made a lot of promises. First he said people making
less than 250,000 dollars would benefit from his plan, then this weekend he
announced in an ad that if you're a family making less than 200,000 dollars
you'll benefit -- but yesterday, right here in Pennsylvania, Senator Biden said
tax relief should only go to "middle class people -- people making under 150,000
dollars a year." It's interesting how their definition of rich has a way of
creeping down. At this rate, it won't be long before Senator Obama is right back
to his vote that Americans making just 42,000 dollars a year should get a tax
increase. We can't let that happen.
It's never too late to learn the truth about Obama's "hope" and "change".
McCain can squeak it out. But every voter who wants to prevent Obama from turning this country into a socialized welfare state must get out and vote for John McCain.
Redistribution of Wealth Appeals to Socialists.
The Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of American endorsed Barack Obama in 1996.
He was promoting "redistribution" to these socialists way back then.
"And the Socialists in Chicago ate it up."
Obama's Judges
WSJ.
Obama "believes -- and he is quite open about this -- that judges ought to decide cases in light of the empathy they ought to feel for the little guy in any lawsuit."
"Speaking in July 2007 at a conference of Planned Parenthood, he said: "[W]e need somebody who's got the heart, the empathy, to recognize what it's like to be a young teenage mom. The empathy to understand what it's like to be poor, or African-American, or gay, or disabled, or old. And that's the criteria by which I'm going to be selecting my judges."
Are you kidding me? What happened to the rule of law as criteria?
To Obama, "Empathy, not justice, ought to be the mission of the federal courts, and the redistribution of wealth should be their mantra."
In his 2001 radio interview, Obama noted that the Constitution as written is "not an entitlement to a right to welfare".
"Does Mr. Obama support the Constitution as it is written, or does he support amendments to guarantee welfare? Is his provision of a "tax cut" to millions of Americans who currently pay no taxes merely a foreshadowing of constitutional rights to welfare, health care, Social Security, vacation time and the redistribution of wealth?"
"Every new federal judge has been required by federal law to take an oath of office in which he swears that he will "administer justice without respect to persons, and do equal right to the poor and to the rich." Mr. Obama's emphasis on empathy in essence requires the appointment of judges committed in advance to violating this oath."
"Nothing less than the very idea of liberty and the rule of law are at stake in this election. We should not let Mr. Obama replace justice with empathy in our nation's courtrooms."
Obama's Vision of Justice
Obama's vision of justice is the "redistribution of wealth".
"Not the creation of wealth and certainly not the creation of opportunity, but simply taking money from the successful and hard-working and distributing it to those whom the government decides “deserve” it."
"I would appeal to any American who claims to love the Constitution and to revere the Founding Fathers… I will not only appeal to you, I will beg you, as one American citizen to another, to consider this next statement with as much care as you can possibly bring to bear:
Obama: “And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution — at least as it’s been interpreted, and [the] Warren Court interpreted it in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties: [it] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf."
The article continues:
"That we have achieved so much in so many areas is due — due entirely — to the structure of our society as outlined in the Constitution of the United States."
"The entire purpose of the Constitution was to limit government. That limitation of powers is what has unlocked in America the vast human potential available in any population."
"Barack Obama sees that limiting of government not as a lynchpin but rather as a fatal flaw."
"There is no room for wiggle or misunderstanding here. You and I do not have to guess at what he believes or try to interpret what he believes. He says what he believes."
"But we have never, ever in our 232-year history, elected a president who so completely and openly opposed the idea of limited government, the absolute cornerstone of makes the United States of America unique and exceptional."
Obama Wanted The Supreme Court To Break The Constitution
Via Ed Morrissey:
"Seven years ago, Obama told Chicago Public Radio that the Warren Court was too conservative and missed its opportunity to redistribute wealth on a much grander scale. In fact, Obama wanted them to break the Constitution and reorder American society far outside of what the founders intended."
"Obama sees community organizing as the essential path to move from a Constitution of personal liberties to a Constitution of federal mandates."
"He wants a new governing document that essentially forces both the federal and state governments to redistribute wealth, and he sees that as the natural outcome of the civil rights movement."
"That certainly smells of socialism on a far grander scale than ever attempted in the US, with the New Deal and Great Societies looking like pale imitations of Obama’s vision."
"The government does not exist to determine the acceptable level of wealth of its individual citizens. For government to assume that role, it would have to end private property rights and assume all property belonged to the State. That is classic Marxism."
Obama Revealed
Barack Obama has one goal as president: "redistribute the wealth", and all of his policy proposals are a means to that end.
On Chicago public radio in 2001, Obama said it was a "tragedy" that the Supreme Court did not break the constraints of the founding fathers and re-interpret the Constitution to enforce "redistribution of wealth" during the Civil Rights movement.
Civil Rights was a reform movement to abolish discrimination against African-Americans.
He said community organizers enable coalition of powers to bring about "redistributive change". No wonder he's been in bed with ACORN his entire career.
Obama said the courts aren't really structured to bring about this redistribution; a theoretical case can be argued to legislate this redistribution; and then the revelation -- redistribution is an administrative task.
Administrative means President, folks. When Obama says "change" he means "redistributive change". His response to Joe, the plumber was no slip of the tongue.
This man wants to break the constraints place on the Constitution by the founding fathers, and turn this country into a socialist welfare state.
Save the Republic -- vote McCain.

It's Not Over Yet
Peggy Noonan notes in the Wall Street Journal that the presidential race isn't over yet, and wonders if Obama is decisive:
"People wonder if he is decisive. It is clear he is decisive in terms of his own career: He decides to go for president of the law review, to move to Chicago, to roll the dice for a U.S. Senate seat, to hire David Axelrod, to take on Hillary, to campaign with discipline and even elegance. When it comes to his career, his decisions are thought through and his judgments sound. But when it comes to decisions that have to do with larger issues, with great questions and not with him, things get murkier. There is the long trail of the missed and "present" votes, the hesitance on big questions. One wonders if in the presidency he'll be like the dog that chased the car and caught it: What's he supposed to do now?"

McCain Is Right, and Obama Is Wrong On The Biggest Issues Facing The Country.
John McCain is right and Barack Obama is wrong.
Mr. Obama's tax-and-spend prescription will cause the economic fever to
spike, not recede.
Raising taxes on small businesses in the face of recession will deepen and
prolong the downturn.
On national security, America is close to a bilateral agreement with Iraq
that will continue sending U.S. troops home based on success -- the result of
the surge that Mr. McCain strongly advocated and Mr. Obama fiercely
opposed.
America's economy got into trouble when people didn't heed warning signs.
Three years ago, Mr. McCain called for stricter oversight of Fannie Mae and
Freddie Mac...Mr. Obama and congressional Democrats ignored these signs and
opposed reform.
Wanting to raise taxes -- anyone's taxes -- in a slowdown is a warning sign
of a misguided economic philosophy.
Mr. Obama's proposal to redistribute wealth is a warning of indifference or
hostility to enterprise.
Obama's health-care plan is a warning that government will have more, not
less, to say about your health care
Obama's dismissal of offshore drilling and opposition to nuclear power are
warning signs for an economy whose growth depends on affordable energy.
Mr. Obama's commitment to withdraw our troops from Iraq without regard to
conditions on the ground is a warning sign that Mr. Obama is dangerously
wrong-headed and ideological on national security.
The absence of a single significant instance in which Mr. Obama cooperated
in a bipartisan manner in the Senate is a warning sign.
So is his failure to dirty his hands by working hard on any major
legislative challenge since entering Congress.
And so is his refusal to break with his party or its interest groups on any
issue of substance.
Heed the warning signs.
Obama's Righteous Winds Keep Blowing
John McCain in Florida:
"Thirteen days to go, and he changed his tax plan because the American people had learned the truth about it and they didn't like it," McCain told a crowd at lumber yard. "It's another example that he'll say anything to get elected."
Blowin', blowin', blowin', those righteous winds keep blowin'.
Barack Obama simply can't be trusted.
Buying The Presidency
Andrew Malcolm blogs in the LATimes:
"Having now collected more than $605 million altogether, the freshman senator shows no concern over the appearance of buying the presidency. Imagine for a moment the national political conversation that could be going on now if rich Republicans had raked in that much loot for one campaign."
As noted earlier here, big money donors are driving Obama's money edge.
This raises the concern of not only buying the presidency, but also buying the president.
Malcolm continues: "And, hey, if there's a few hundred million dollars left over in the campaign coffers...maybe Obama would like to put it toward the immense federal budget deficits...".
I doubt that will happen. Obama wants to spread the wealth around -- just not his own wealth.
Obama's Righteous Wind
Obama to supporters in Virginia yesterday:
"I feel like we got a righteous wind at our backs here."
No, Nobama -- it's merely sanctimonious flatulence.

Obama Can't Be Believed
"Facing criticism from John McCain that his tax plan constitutes "welfare," Barack Obama recently added a work requirement to one of his proposals."
"They started saying this was welfare," said Obama adviser Austan Goolsbee. "So, just so they would absolutely not be able to say that, we decided that for the last two percent we'll simply add a work requirement."
He flips, flops, and tweaks.
Bottom line -- you can't believe anything Barack Obama says.
"I think they just made it up," Holtz-Eakin told ABC News. "They will say anything in the moment. This is like trying to pin Jello to the wall."
The Washington Post's Two Versions of Obama's Campaign Fundraising
The first version entitled, Big Donors Drive Obama's Money Edge, says the internet was not the only source of Obama's campaign donations.
"Interest among major party donors grew so fevered that the Democratic
Party created a separate committee to capture millions of additional dollars
from individuals who had already given Obama the most the law
allows..."
The maximum donation allowed for the "Obama Victory Fund" is $28,500, so the DNC created the "Committee for Change".
"The Committee for Change has quietly accepted millions more, in checks
ranging from $5,000 to $66,900, from celebrities, corporate titans, Native
American tribes and several of Obama's most ardent bundlers."
This enables soft money donors to contribute to "each facet of the Obama fundraising machine".
The Crown Family of Chicago
"longtime Obama patrons, are among a handful who have given across the
board: They raised more than $500,000 for Obama's campaign, they collectively
gave $18,500 directly to the campaign, they donated $57,000 to the Victory Fund,
and they sent $74,000 to the Committee for Change.
"By both raising the most
money and donating to every committee, they become double big players,"
There are always loopholes for big money donors.
Less than 1/4 of Obama's $600,000 raised has come from donations of $200 or less.
The RNC has separate committees as well, but they are not claiming that most of their money has come from small donations as Obama has claimed.
Contrast this article with today's WaPo editorial entitled, $150 Million Man. This article says that Obama's $600,000 in compaign donations are not
"evidence of the pernicious return of big money to federal
campaigns....Much of Mr. Obama's money has arrived in small donations; in any
event, donors are limited to a maximum of $4,600 ($2,300 each for the primary
and general election). Mr. Obama's haul reflects the enormous enthusiasm his
campaign has generated".
Give me a break. I'm laughing so hard I can't see straight. Enormous enthusiasm? Come on. Enormous enthusiasm of big money donors is more accurate.
WaPo is troubled that Obama went back on his word to accept public financing and wonders if Obama's flip-flop is a matter of ethics.
One does wonder about the ethics of it all. And, one wonders why the Washington Post would publish two such contradictory articles.
Hmmm.....ethics.

John McCain Has Already Been Tested
McCain: “Sen. Biden referred to how Jack Kennedy was tested in the Cuban Missile Crisis. My friends, I had a little personal experience in that,” McCain said. “I was on board the USS Enterprise. I sat in the cockpit of a flight deck on the USS Enterprise off of Cuba. I had a target. My friends, do you know how close we came to nuclear war? America will not have a president who needs to be tested. I’ve been tested my friends.”
Joe Biden warned Americans that, if elected, within six months there will be a generated international crisis to test Barack Obama's mettle.
John McCain's mettle has already been tested. He was in the cockpit, on the flight deck, ready to perform his job duties in the interest of national security.
John McCain's mettle was tested for 5 1/2 years as a POW in Viet Nam.
McCain: "We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world..."
Dangers of a Liberal Supermajority
It is possible that we'll end up with a filibuster proof, 60 seat, liberal supermajority in the Senate.
"...this would be one of the most profound political and ideological shifts in U.S. history...Liberals would dominate the entire government."
"...the most important power of the filibuster is to shape legislation, not merely to block it."
"Without the ability to filibuster, the Senate would become like the House, able to pass whatever the majority wants."
Liberal agenda:
Government-run health insurance.
Regulatory overkill causing economic downtown to last longer.
"Card Check" -- eliminating secret ballot elections for Unions and Big Labor.
Taxes -- "Taxes will rise substantially, the only question being how high. Mr. Obama would raise the top income, dividend and capital-gains rates for "the rich," substantially increasing the cost of new investment in the U.S."
"More radically, he wants to lift or eliminate the cap on income subject to payroll taxes that fund Medicare and Social Security. This would convert what was meant to be a pension insurance program into an overt income redistribution program."
Voting rights -- "A liberal supermajority would move quickly to impose procedural advantages that could cement Democratic rule for years to come. One early effort would be national, election-day voter registration. This is a long-time goal of Acorn and others on the "community organizer" left and would make it far easier to stack the voter rolls".
Free speech -- "A major goal of the supermajority left would be to shut down talk radio and other voices of political opposition."
Welfare-state liberalism -- spread the wealth around; Socialist redistribution.
Maintain the republic -- vote for John McCain.
Why Won't Obama Release List Of Donors Who Gave Less Than $200?
"...Team Obama doesn’t want people perusing the massive numbers of donors with names like Qwerty Poiuy, Asdfgh Lkjh’;, and Zxcvb Mn09876 from the states of PO, ZX, and QW. So much for openness and transparency."
Joe, The Plumber Won
"The reason why Joe won is because he’s the only person to get a real answer out of Senator Obama about his plans for our country."
"No American should be attacked for asking questions of a presidential candidate. No one."
"Joe has now reminded us all that we didn’t become the greatest nation on Earth by giving our money to the government to “spread the wealth around”.
"In this country, we believe in spreading opportunity for those who need jobs and those who create them."
I agree with Ed Morrissey:
"The strength in the American economy comes from the private sector, not from welfare programs...Government has a role in protecting opportunity, but not in dictating results. The former is wise governance of a free market, and the latter is socialism."
To maintain the Republic, vote for John McCain.
To move toward Socialism, vote for Barack Obama.
"Gird Your Loins" -- Code for 'Guard Your Loins'
Joe Biden warned Americans to "gird your loins" because Obama will be tested by an international crisis during his first six months in office.
"Mark my words...It will not be six months before the world tests Barack
Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking...we're gonna have an
international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy...And
he's gonna need help...Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not
gonna be apparent that we're right."
So, Joe Biden is predicting an international crisis and is worried that Obama can't or won't pass the test.
Sounds to me like Biden is campaigning for McCain.
"In other words, Biden is forecasting inaction by Obama in the face of testing by a dictator...It’s that Biden himself expects what will appear to be a weak response from Obama to testing by a dictator"
John McCain's response:
"Just last night, Senator Biden guaranteed that if Senator Obama is
elected, we will have an international crisis to test America’s new President.
We don’t want a President who invites testing from the world at a time when our
economy is in crisis and Americans are already fighting in two
wars.
What is more troubling is that Senator Biden told their campaign
donors that when that crisis hits, they would have to stand with them because it
wouldn't be apparent Senator Obama would have the right response.
Forget apparent. Senator Obama won’t have the right response, and
we know that because we’ve seen the wrong response from him over and over during
this campaign. He opposed the surge strategy that is bringing us victory in Iraq
and will bring us victory in Afghanistan. He said he would sit down
unconditionally with the world's worst dictators. When Russia invaded Georgia,
Sen. Obama said the invaded country should show restraint."
"Isn’t it awfully dangerous to forecast weakness on the part of an American president".
It seems every Joe knows.
Joe, The Plumber knows the truth about Obama's tax policy.
Joe, The Running Mate knows the truth about Obama's foreign policy.

Game Changer
Joe Wurzelbacher aka Joe, The Plumber IS the game changer.
Whether the game changes enough for McCain to win the election remains to be seen.
In last night's debate, McCain cited the example of Joe, The Plumber to hammer Obama's economic policy.
At a time when the economy is in the toilet, Obama ("Senator Government" in the Freudian sense) will raise taxes, kill jobs, increase spending, and redistribute the wealth by spreading it around.
McCain: "In other words, we're going to take Joe's money, give it to Sen. Obama, and let him spread the wealth around.
I want Joe the plumber to spread that wealth around. You told him you wanted to spread the wealth around."
McCain: "I will not stand for a tax increase on small business income."
McCain: "why would you want to increase anybody's taxes right now? Why would you want to do that, anyone, anyone in America, when we have such a tough time, when these small business people, like Joe the plumber, are going to create jobs, unless you take that money from him and spread the wealth around.
I'm not going to..."
McCain: "McCain: The fact is that businesses in America today are paying the second highest tax rate of anywhere in the world. Our tax rate for business in America is 35 percent. Ireland, it's 11 percent.
Where are companies going to go where they can create jobs and where they can do best in business?
We need to cut the business tax rate in America. We need to encourage business.
Now, of all times in America, we need to cut people's taxes. We need to encourage business, create jobs, not spread the wealth around."
McCain: "Sen. Obama, I am not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago. I'm going to give a new direction to this economy in this country."
McCain: "OK, what -- what would I cut? I would have, first of all, across-the-board spending freeze...Government spending has gone completely out of control."
McCain: "The mayor of New York, Mayor Bloomberg, just imposed an across- the-board spending freeze on New York City. They're doing it all over America because they have to. Because they have to balance their budgets."
McCain: "Sen. Obama, your argument for standing up to the leadership of your party isn't very convincing."
McCain: "And, Sen. Obama, you didn't repudiate those remarks. Every time there's been an out-of-bounds remark made by a Republican, no matter where they are, I have repudiated them. I hope that Sen. Obama will repudiate those remarks that were made by Congressman John Lewis, very unfair and totally inappropriate"
McCain: "And, Sen. Obama, when he said -- and he signed a piece of paper that said he would take public financing for his campaign if I did -- that was back when he was a long-shot candidate -- you didn't keep your word."
McCain: "So the fact is that Sen. Obama is spending unprecedented -- unprecedented in the history of American politics, going back to the beginning, amounts of money in negative attack ads on me."
McCain: "Yes, real quick. Mr. Ayers, I don't care about an old washed-up terrorist. But as Sen. Clinton said in her debates with you, we need to know the full extent of that relationship."
McCain: "We need to know the full extent of Sen. Obama's relationship with ACORN...The same front outfit organization that your campaign gave $832,000 for "lighting and site selection."
McCain: "Well, again, while you were on the board of the Woods Foundation, you and Mr. Ayers, together, you sent $230,000 to ACORN. So -- and you launched your political campaign in Mr. Ayers' living room."
McCain: "Obama chooses to associate with a guy who in 2001 said that he wished he had have bombed more, and he had a long association with him."
McCain: "By the way, when Sen. Obama said he would unilaterally renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement, the Canadians said, "Yes, and we'll sell our oil to China."
You don't tell countries you're going to unilaterally renegotiate agreements with them."
McCain: "Well, let me just said that that this is -- he -- Sen. Obama doesn't want a free trade agreement with our best ally in the region but wants to sit down across the table without precondition to -- with Hugo Chavez, the guy who has been helping FARC, the terrorist organization."
McCain: "Sen. Obama, as a member of the Illinois State Senate, voted in the Judiciary Committee against a law that would provide immediate medical attention to a child born of a failed abortion. He voted against that.
McCain: "We have to stop the spending. We have to stop the spending, which has mortgaged your children's futures".

I'm Joe, The Plumber
I, and millions of Americans like me, can identify with Joe, The Plumber.
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the blue-collar worker asked."
"After Obama responded that it would, Wurzelbacher continued: "I've worked hard . . . I work 10 to 12 hours a day and I'm buying this company and I'm going to continue working that way. I'm getting taxed more and more while fulfilling the American Dream."
Echoes of Spartacus: "I'm Joe, The Plumber", I'm Joe, The Plumber", I'm Joe, The Plumber.
Joe Wurzelbacher "watched Wednesday night's debate and said he still thinks Obama's plan would keep him from buying the small business that employs him".
About McCain: "He's got it right as far as I go."
Third Debate Tonight
McCain needs to hit Obama hard -- 'take it to him'.
Obama has misrepresented the financial meltdown as a crisis of Republican deregulation. It was the Democrats who opposed regulation.
Obama and other Democrats received large contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Obama says 95% will get a tax cut. What about the other 5%? Increasing taxes of any kind in this economy will kill jobs. Obama will kill jobs by taxing small business owners (the people who create jobs). Obama will redistribute this money and spread the wealth around to people who don't even pay taxes.
Obama plans to tax investors who will most likely take their investments outside the U.S. to avoid paying the increased tax. This won't grow the economy.
Obama proposes a trillion dollars spending increase.
Tax and spend, left wing, elitist liberals will control the White House and Congress: Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi.
Obama says middle America clings to guns and religion because of economic frustration.
Obama would meet with enemies of the U.S. without pre-condition. Pass the arugula, please.
Obama voted against the bill to save the lives of aborted babies who somehow managed to survive after attempted abortions. (The bill passed overwhelmingly).
From the beginning of his career, Obama has had close ties to ACORN whose main activity is electing liberals through voter fraud; often using taxpayer money ACORN received through federal grants. Obama gave ACORN $800,000 to 'get out the vote'.
From the beginning of his career, Obama has had close ties to questionable people:
Jeremiah Wright -- hate spewing, race baiting, anti-American, black liberation theologist who 'god damns' the 'US of KKKA'.
Tony Rezko -- corrupt slum lord who helped Obama buy his house -- Rezko is currently in prison.
Bill Ayers -- Unrepentant, Weather Underground radical who bombed the Capitol and Pentagon. Ayers is proud of his bombings, and wishes he had done more of them. Obama had his political coming out party in Ayers' living room.
Obama has no experience, no accomplishments, no record.
Obama does not possess the leadership, character, and judgment to be Commander-In-Chief.
Obama talks and talks. Nothing but rhetoric.
Talk is cheap.
McCain needs to him him hard.
'Take It To Him'
The Education Philosophies of Barack Obama, Jeremiah Wright, and Bill Ayers
"However he may seek to deny it, all evidence points to the fact that, from his position as board chair of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Barack Obama knowingly and persistently funded an educational project that shared the extremist and anti-American philosophy of Jeremiah Wright."
It's an African centered educational philosophy to create a "virtually separate and intensely anti-American black social world".
"And guess what? Bill Ayers is still palling around with the same bitterly anti-American Afrocentric ideologues that he and Obama were promoting a decade ago."
Power Line connects the dots.
"In 1995, the year Obama assumed control of CAC, he publicly rejected "the unrealistic politics of integrationist assimilation," thereby embracing the Afrocentirc educational philosophy of the SVACC, Wright, and Ayers.....it is clear from the documents that Obama reviewed and commented on proposals to fund the training programs of SVACC, including the African rites of passage based programs."
Mentioning "Obama" and "education" in the same sentence makes my blood run cold.
Obama Will Take Workers' Hard Earned Money And Give It To Somebody Else
"Conservatives yesterday ripped Obama after he was caught on video telling an Ohio plumber that he intends to take the profits of small-business owners and "spread the wealth around" to those with lesser incomes."
Obama: "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody. I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
"It's clear that his main goal is redistribution of wealth, not growth," said Andy Roth with the anti-tax group Club for Growth. "He's perfectly happy to destroy wealth as long as he can redistribute it."
McCain: "This explains how Senator Obama can promise an income-tax cut for millions who aren't even paying income taxes right now," he said in Pennsylvania.
McCain: "My plan isn't intended to force small businesses to cut jobs to pay higher taxes so we can 'spread the wealth around.' My plan is intended to create jobs and increase the wealth of all Americans."
Obama, Puppet of Reid and Pelosi
When Democrats gained control of Congress in 2006, "the faces of the party became House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.)".
"Now, following a bitter primary and concerns raised in Democratic circles about their candidate’s experience, the party is sold on Obama..."
"And while they have made it clear that they want Obama in the driver’s seat, congressional Democrats are providing the horsepower for a potential $300 billion economic stimulus bill..."
One can deduce that Obama is the horse, but Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi are the power, possibly pulling the strings of their puppet, Barack Obama.
Are Reid and Pelosi anxious to cede their positions as the "faces of the Democrat party" to Barack Obama; a guy with shady associations, no experience, no accomplishments, no record? Doubtful.

95% Tax Crud
Obama says he will cut taxes for 95% of working families.
"But how does he conjure this miracle, especially since more than a third of all Americans already pay no income taxes at all?"
It's not a tax cut, it's a tax credit. Refund checks will be issued to people even if they pay no income tax at all.
"In other words, they are an income transfer -- a federal check -- from taxpayers to nontaxpayers. Once upon a time we called this "welfare,"..."
"The Tax Foundation estimates that under the Obama plan 63 million Americans, or 44% of all tax filers, would have no income tax liability and most of those would get a check from the IRS each year. The Heritage Foundation's Center for Data Analysis estimates that by 2011, under the Obama plan, an additional 10 million filers would pay zero taxes while cashing checks from the IRS."
"The total annual expenditures on refundable "tax credits" would rise over the next 10 years by $647 billion to $1.054 trillion, according to the Tax Policy Center. This means that the tax-credit welfare state would soon cost four times actual cash welfare."
Read the whole thing.
Spread It Around
Barack Obama has a plan -- "spread the wealth around".
Call it any name you want, it's still socialism and it's still redistributing the wealth.
It's not his wealth -- it's yours.
He obviously is not spreading around all the millions he has collected in campaign contributions.
Obama's favorite nut is ACORN
ACORN uses federal grants to commit voter registration fraud, and to elect liberals who will carry out ACORN's left wing agenda.
"Acorn uses various affiliated groups to agitate for "a living wage," for "affordable housing," for "tax justice" and union and environmental goals, as well as against school choice and welfare reform. It was a major contributor to the subprime meltdown by pushing lenders to make home loans on easy terms, conducting "strikes" against banks so they'd lower credit standards."
Barack Obama "got his start as a Chicago "community organizer" at Acorn's side. In 1992 he led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which included Acorn. This past November, he lauded Acorn's leaders for being "smack dab in the middle" of that effort. Mr. Obama also served as a lawyer for Acorn in 1995, in a case against Illinois to increase access to the polls.
"During his tenure on the board of Chicago's Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for "staging, sound, lighting." It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote."
"The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties."
Sure, Obama is an opportunist. That's common knowledge. He could have sought his opportunities with many people and groups.
But, Obama CHOSE his associations: ACORN, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Tony Rezko -- Obama was drawn to these, and chose these because he agrees with their ideologies.

Which One?
McCain: "It was an energy bill on the floor of the Senate loaded down with goodies, billions for the oil companies, and it was sponsored by Bush and Cheney.
You know who voted for it? You might never know. That one. You know who voted against it? Me."
"That One" as opposed to "The One"?
"That Obama" as opposed to "The Obamessiah"?
Well, that's one of the question marks about the real Barack Obama, and what exactly is his line?
Will the real Obama please stand up?

"I Believe In This Country"
"I believe in this country" is the catch phrase of tonight's Presidential debate.
McCain won the debate hands down on the economy portion.
"I believe in this country. I believe in its future. I believe in its greatness."
Obama, The Ingenue
Is it wise to trust an ingénue with little experience with the power of the White House?
The Democrat gained by standing back during the rescue-bill drama. But now
voters (with a strong push from the McCain campaign) will be giving him a closer
look - and some won't like what they see.
They will examine his tax proposals and spending plans, and question his
economic credentials. Facing one of the gravest crises in our nation's history,
they'll wonder: Is it wise to trust an ingénue with little experience with the
power of the White House?
All the cash Obama wanted to spend on health care, education and
infrastructure just walked out the door en route to Wall Street. He must either
abandon his program, hike taxes on almost everyone or run a huge
deficit.
His ties to unrepentent terrorist William Ayers will also draw new
attention. The record clearly shows that Obama was lying when he called
Ayers just a guy "who lives in my neighborhood."
Ayers got a $50 million grant for the Chicago Annenberg Challenge. Obama was put in charge of giving out the money and funded left-wing
groups like ACORN for a program that's now billed as "school reform"
but amounted to political indoctrination.
As Stanley Kurtz wrote in The Wall Street Journal, Obama and Ayers "worked
as a team to advance the CAC agenda," namely "Ayers' educational
philosophy, which called for infusing students and their parents with a radical
political commitment, and which downplayed achievement tests in favor of
activism."
Trust Obama With Financial Security? No Way, No How, No Obama
It is unfathomable to me that American voters would entrust their personal financial security, and the economic security of the United States to the big "question mark" that is Barack Obama.
Obama is so far to the tax and spend, redistribute the wealth, liberal left wing, that he is more Socialist than Democrat.
He has no record of accomplishment, no experience. All he has done is talk.
The economy, foreign policy, national security, character, judgment, political record, and personal associations are all connected and on the same page. It's impossible to turn the page on any of these issues.
Obama would meet with enemy terrorist dictators without preconditions.
Obama flip-flopped on accepting public campaign finance.
Obama associated with Bill Ayers (unrepentant, radical Capitol and Pentagon bomber; so called education reformer whose philosophy is to radicalize students).
Obama had a 20 year relationship with his minister, Jeremiah Wright (hate spewing, anti-American, radical black liberation theologist).
Obama thinks middle American clings to guns and religion out of economic frustration.
Obama has a trillion dollars worth of proposed spending programs that can only be paid for by raising taxes.
On the current economic crisis, "Barack Obama stood on the sidelines and did nothing to stop the collapse".
...Americans are angry over the collapse of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and
the poison they spread throughout the financial sector. Democrats have
begun calling it a failure of “deregulation”, but they spent years protecting
Fannie and Freddie from regulators who saw the rot from the inside. McCain
tried pushing legislation to strengthen regulation on the two GSEs.
McCain has to redefine this crisis to the reality of Democratic (and
Republican) indifference to the corruption and bad business practices of Fannie
and Freddie. He has to argue that government distortion of lending markets
for political gain created the crisis, and that Democratic defense of the GSEs
delayed regulatory action until it was too late — and Barack Obama stood on the
sidelines and did nothing to stop the collapse.
McCain sponsored legislation; Obama wrote a letter.
McCain took action; Obama did nothing but talk, and far too
late.

McCain Corrects Record On Fannie Mae Meltdown
"Not only has Obama misrepresented this as a crisis of deregulation, but the record shows that Democrats like Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Gregory Meeks, Lacy Gray, and others opposed the regulators we already had when they tried to blow the whistle. As late as this summer, Democrats kept trying to tell the American voters that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were stable, when in fact they were collapsing."
Economic crisis = Democrats' social engineering.
Obama on Bill Ayers: But I Was Only 8 Years Old!
Doesn't that make Obama appear stupid, uninformed, and unqualified over the last 40 years?
And they say Palin is an airhead?
That's not change -- that's short change.
And he throws another "pal" under the bus.
Update:
RNC Unloads.
Lay down with dogs, you're going to get fleas.
Fannie and Freddie: What Happened?
Democrats defended Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; simultaneously taking contributions from same:
What Just Happened.
Liar, Liar: Obama Pants On Fire
Oh, Bama -- short changing the truth again.
McCain punches back.
"Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place."
"Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, a good idea. Well, Senator Obama, that good idea has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression."
"To hear him talk now, you’d think he’d always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign. He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them."
McCain calls Obama a liar.
Update:
Here's the letter signed by McCain and 19 other senators in 2006 calling for action to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Not one democrat signed it.
Vote McCain!
I'm Back!
Obama is ahead in the polls. The mainstream media is salivating over his assumed victory.
Republicans need to get out the vote.
The economy is on the brink of collapse. In this economic crisis, we must not elect Barack Obama whose past associations include William Ayers (US terrorist bomber), Tony Rezko (imprisoned corrupt slum lord), and Jeremiah Wright (anti-American lunatic minister).
Obama has bad judgment and no experience.
Vote John McCain for President!
